Deborah has been designated a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers Magazine from 2017-2019 and was previously recognized as a Super Lawyers “Rising Star” from 2014-2016. In 2014, she was identified as one of the “best and and brightest minds in San Diego” as a San Diego Metro 40 Under 40.
Deborah’s goal in her practice is to make a tangible difference in her clients’ lives. She actively represents employees who have been discriminated against or assaulted by their employers. She has years of experience in handling business disputes for her clients, including employment, contract and corporate issues. She also currently represents survivors of California wildfires who lost their homes or possessions during 2017 and 2018 fires. Deborah is passionate to help resolve her clients’ disputes, but keenly understands some issues must go to trial or arbitration. Deborah is a trial lawyer who is proud to represent her clients in trial. She mentors young lawyers and law students in trial advocacy, teaching trial skills at California Western School of Law, among other seminars.

She is also The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40. In 2017, Ms. Dixon was awarded the Distinguished Alumni “Rising Star” award from California Western School of Law, an award provided to one alum a year.
Deborah is dedicated to her community and has served in several leadership roles. She is a past-president of Lawyers Club of San Diego, the largest professional bar association in San Diego. Lawyers Club’s mission is the advancement of women in the law and society, and Deborah dedicates her time to raising awareness and educating about issues affecting equality. Deborah recently served as the co-chair of Lawyers Club’s non-profit, Fund for Justice, which raised thousands of dollars each year to donate to local organizations dedicated to advancing women through education and prevention of domestic violence, human trafficking, economic independence, services for homeless women and promoting education for young mothers, among many others.
